Getting Behind--and it has nothing to do with Christmas

The house is decorated as much as it's going to be--Christmas cards have gone out. The presents I'm giving are on the way. So what's the problem, you ask?

It seems that there is far too much to do in too short a period of time. And I confess, I'm much slower than I used to be.

My mind works best in the a.m., so that's when I try to get things done. But, like today, things come up like doc appointments and errands to run. 

What I need to do is finish a program plan for an in-house day program--almost done, probably two or three more hours.

I'd also like to finish the Rocky Bluff P.D. mystery I'm working on and start doing some research for the next Deputy Tempe Crabtree mystery.

I have done no Christmas promotions, I never even had a launch for a Cold Death here in Springville. I've decided to do something here in January--but I need to plan that.

I should be promoting my latest short story that's on Amazon, so I'll do that here and now.




This is a story about a church--definitely not my church, but I'm afraid it might reflect some churches I've been a part of over the years. Yes, it's a mystery.

I'm with you. The cards are out, most of the baking done, the gifts wrapped but I'm behind on promoting books and writing. Your short story was a nice holiday present.

Ditto, Marilyn and Janet! I'm still doing cards but the rest will have to wait. I'm on a roll with my new novel so I'm working with it as much as I can. Somewhere in there, I goofed and thought my blog site needed a new format. Now I'm distracted with that.

Like I do with many folks, I met Morgen through the Internet when I learned about the great interviews she does. Today is My Birthday!

I never thought I'd live this long! The last few years, birthday celebrations have usually been a nice dinner out in a restaurant. Hard to do these days. Sometimes cake and ice cream is how we celebrate. This year my granddaughter, Melissa, is doing something special. She's taking her grandpa and me to a place about 1 1/2 hours away for lunch, called The Secret Garden. I've not only never been there, but I've never heard of it.
